Trey Byrnes
Founder/President
In 2007, Trey Byrnes founded Inverness Financial Group in Newburyport, Massachusetts to assist clients by incorporating risk and investment management disciplines used in his previous career as a bond portfolio manager and derivatives trader for a major financial institution. He enjoys working with his clients to plan and to assist them in achieving their goals within their risk profile.
Trey enjoys giving back to the communities in which he lives. He has been involved in many non-profit agencies and charitable activities. Some notable boards he has served on over the years are Community Servings in Boston, Dorca’s Place in Rhode Island, and past Chairman of the Board for the Anna Jaques Community Health Foundation, as well as a Trustee of Anna Jacques Hospital. He has headed committees for events, fundraising, and various capital campaigns.
Trey is a native of Natchez, Mississippi. He currently resides in Nottingham, New Hampshire. He graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and was granted his Certified Public Accountant designation by the State of Texas.* He is an avid sailor and instrument-rated pilot.
